Stockholm Cathedral

Visit to the tourist attraction of Sweden - Stockholm Cathedral: the church was built according in 1264, thanks to donations from Birger Jarl and the cathedral has been used for both royal coronations and weddings from the 1300s. The building as called the City Church, was built of wood 1187-1252 at Stockholm's highest point. For a long time, the City Church or Church of Saint Nicolai, was the only the church in Stockholm. The church was named after St. Nicolas, which was the patron saint of seafarers. It was natural, since a many German-Roman merchants inhabited the medieval Hanseatic City of Stockholm. The church has traditionally served as the place for coronation of the Swedish monarchs.

Available guided tours in English, French and Latvian. Maximum 25 visitors to one group.

During normal opening hours: 60 SEK per each visitor and 1250 SEK for the guide.
